LCD Vs DLP Projectors

Lcd- (Liquid Crystal Display)

Lcd- Uses a transparent LCD chip made up of individual pixels. A powerful light source is then passed through the chip and lens, onto a larger screen.

Lcd- Very compact due to the very small LCD chip it uses. This makes mobility easier for presentations and meetings.

Lcd- High contrast and brightness capabilities (able to be seen well in partially lit rooms).

Lcd- Best suited for multi-media use such as business presentations.

Lcd- Considerably lower price range then DLP Projectors.

 

Dlp- (Digital Light Prosessing)

Dlp- Uses tiny mirrors to reflect light from the projectors lamp through a color wheel which modulates the color of the image. This is true for single chip dlp projectors.

Dlp- Best for home theater usage.

Dlp- Very high end home theater models use three dlp chips.
